Mayfair 2013

It would not be a Mayfair without Maypole dancing and once again we have children from local schools will be dancing round the Maypole which this year will be back to its normal position in the High Street. The schools involved include Mayfield Primary School, Mayfield Pre-School and Skippers Hill Manor School.  They will be working hard in the weeks before Saturday 11th May to learn the dances and impress us with the wonderful patterns that their weaving to and fro can produce at the top of the maypole.

There will also be the crowning of the May Queen and the procession down the High Street – watch out for the details of how to enter the competition to be May Queen.

We also hope, as usual, to have Morris men, and women, performing

as well as drummers
